Michisu with Anita & Kari

Wendy and I invited Anita & Kari to Michisu. We flew up Thursday evening July 16, 2009. The Margaritaville machine has been pretty busy. We brought in on the boat with us along with a small Yamaha generator. The fish are not biting very good but we are still having a good time. We have a prime rib and Anita will be making crepes! Life is Good...

Afton, Wyoming

Well, I'm not much of a blogger but I thought I would blog in order to show you some pictures from Wyoming. Scott & Kristin purchased a beautiful home located at an airpark if Afton, Wyoming. For those of you who have never heard of an airpark, it is a fly-in community. A community specifically designed around an airport where the residents each own their own airplane which they park in their hangar usually attached to the home or integrated into their home. These air parks feature one or more runways with homes adjacent to the runway. Scott & Kristin's house is gorgeous. The house is very rustic and well decorated. The hangar is 60'X60' and is well equipped with toys.

Wendy, Zach, Matt and I arrived on Tuesday June 30th. We were picked up in Salt Lake City, Utah and drove approximately 3 hours to Afton. Kristin has a really nice Jeep and it's well equipped. She even got a "Life is Good" spare tire cover! We took it for a drive up a mountain road on our first day. We went white water rafting yesterday on the Snake River. What a blast!

Snowshoeing with Trevor and Bubba

Trevor and I along with Bubba of course, went out this evening snowshoeing as the sun was touching the trees on the horizon. It was a good run even though the temperature was surprisingly -25C.

Someone has been walking in our snowshoe trails with plain winter boots from what I can tell. This is the second time in 3 days that I notice their tracks. The trails are well compacted at this point and with the temperature being so cold, they can support a person without snowshoes. This time they went further and traveled approximately 70% of our trails. It makes me happy to think that we made a walk more exciting for this mystery person. Walking the trails in the bush is way better than walking on the side of the road. Less wind, no traffic, picturesque scenery and privacy. Another positive is that if you have a pet, they can run freely in all directions providing they are a four legged mammal. Bubba loves it. Anyway, I think that this adventurous spirit somehow managed to benefit from our trails. This thought makes me smile and feel prosperous. I am happy for them. I hope to meet them one day while on the trails.

New to Blogging

Well, I figured that I should make an attempt at blogging to learn more about it. I started downloading videos to YouTube approximately 2 years ago to keep friends and family informed at to what I was up to. I have to be honest and admit that the "video updates" were pretty boring to watch. So, now I am attempting blogging to see if I can be just as boring....

Wendy and I started snowshoeing a week ago and we really enjoy the exercise. Bubba, our black Lab gets excited every time we put our gear on. We made a few trails in the nearby woods. Wendy and the kids are on vacation in the Dominican Republic for the following week. Work kept me from going. I have been going out on our snowshoe trails every day. It was -30C this morning and I couldn't find the courage to go outside. Maybe this afternoon.
